I have always been intrigued with words – words that have a special meaning personally and professionally - words that invoke deep reflection or thought – silly words that make me laugh – and, words that arouse my emotions and tap into my internal drive and even stimulate action.  

As an avid reader of books on leadership, there are often common threads that weave together a picture of what leadership is all about.  Just as one book cannot completely illustrate such a broad and complex topic (leadership), one article will surely fall short as well.  Nevertheless, I want to share with you just a few words that mean a lot to me and provide for me a backdrop from which to continue my journey in leadership and in life.  Three words that make a difference… Imagine, Inspire, and Influence.

Whether you are a business owner, an executive/administrator, a manager/supervisor – a leader of many, or a leader of one (yourself); take time to imagine – embrace the privilege to inspire – and consider your influence on others.
